Lydia Watson is a multidisciplinary artist based in the California Bay Area.
Engaged in mixed media drawing, painting, installation, and printmaking, her practice grapples with domesticity, womanhood, family systems, intergenerational trauma, and survivorhood, often utilizing her own figure as a character in her work. Contemplating how memories shape perceptions through their storage and retrieval, her work commonly features antique or inherited objects and is dedicated to generational and individual healing. Lydia received her A.A. in Studio Art and Art History from Foothill College in Los Altos, California and is currently a senior undergraduate student studying Art Practice at the University of California, Berkeley.
